Title: Production Associate

Reporting to: Line Manager US

Classification:  Full-Time Contractor (potential Contract to Hire)

Location: New York, NY  / Remote a possibility

Compensation: $55,000-65,000 annually


WSE is seeking a Production Associate to join its Partners’ network. This individual would serve a critical role internally and externally on premium shows: developing the social media identity and content strategy, producing social content, and owning distribution and marketing. This highly collaborative and detail-oriented person will work with talent, social, commercial, and original content teams across our org, as well as external sponsors and partners for all our shows related to soccer. 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating exceptional social media content, managing large online communities, and developing/executing social strategies for engagement, virality, and growth. This producer should have a keen sense for the current social landscape and trends, and will be able to implement that sense to create socially native, optimized content that yields viral engagement. This individual will bring an instinctive knowledge of how to write unique copy that mirrors the tone and voice of our shows while speaking the language of audiences on social. He/she will have deep knowledge of the sport of soccer and its global fandom.

Reporting to the Head Producer this role will involve researching and pitching ideas, developing concepts and the production and delivery of social content and services.

Responsibilities

  • Help aid in the production process end to end; ideas gathering, research relevant topics pre-shoot, with digital best practices remaining front of mind.
  • Supporting the Head Producer with the everyday running of the Overlap US production.
  • Have an excellent editorial grasp for what is required from the content, not only in the development stage but also in production.
  • Be fully involved in research process putting together relevant topics aiding in the production of Running Orders.
  • Running and assisting on shoots
  • Assisting the Head of Social with creating good social clips and other digital assets required to promote the content
  • Understanding and awareness of social media platforms. You will view social media platforms as an essential mechanism to produce high-quality, compelling content that helps to drive growth and engagement.

Qualifications

  • We’d love you to have experience in a similar role, good knowledge of the sporting world and excellent English writing skills.
  •  You’re proactive, hands on and a team player!
  • Have an excellent grasp of social media platforms, aiding the Social Media Manager with relevant clips from our productions.
  • Thorough in your research finding niche topics to discuss for our interviews
  • You successfully communicate your ideas and apply critical thinking in your work.
  • An interest and understanding of changing consumption habits and what contentpeople watch and why they engage.
  • You don’t mind getting your hands dirty if needed and go on the odd location recce if the team needs you to.
  • Be able to put together transcripts for our interviews in a timely fashion
  • A clear passion for the changing media landscape and the opportunities that brings to the future of sports digital broadcasting.

*This role is a full-time contractor position with a base salary range of $55,000 to $65,000/year, and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual salary at the time of offer may vary based on multiple factors, including an individual's level of experience and qualifications. We believe in investing the very best in our employees, so in addition to the base salary for this role, all eligible full-time employees at WSE or its partners  receive:

Physical Requirements + Work Environment

  • Capacity to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery and hardware.
  • The ability to communicate and exchange information clearly and accurately. 
  • Work is sedentary and involves sitting for the majority of work hours.
  • Able to work full-time M-F and nights and weekends as needed.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment.
  • The worker may be exposed to variable lighting conditions (brightness or darkness) and noise during production when in the office.
