Title: Social Media Manager - Baseball

Classification: Full-time Contractor

Location: Remote. Some travel may be required. All travel costs will be covered by WMA.

Compensation: $50k annually

WSE recently created a division, Wave Media Agency, which specializes in working with professional leagues & rights-holders from around the world to enable them to expand their social & digital presence.

Wave Media Agency is searching for a full-time Social Media Manager with a specialty in Baseball. This mid-level position is perfect for someone with a robust background in social media and a profound passion for Baseball. The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of engaging content strategies, drive audience growth, and elevate the brand presence for our client across various digital platforms. Success will consist of growing awareness and conversion through social and content for a direct- to- consumer mobile app company.

Core Responsibilities:
Content Creation and Account Management:

• Design and implement a comprehensive content strategy tailored for our Baseball social media channel, ensuring all content is timely, relevant and supports business goals. 
• Produce short form videos, graphics, and podcast cutdowns that align with our content strategy.
• Oversee and work with a group of content creators and UGC that will help supply footage/material to develop short form videos that successfully market the mobile app.
• Oversee account management for Tiktok, Instagram and X for the client - including publishing content and community management. 
• Coordinate promotional campaigns that align with the marketing calendar of our client as well as major Baseball events, seasons, and community interests.
   

Audience Engagement and Growth:

• Utilize analytics tools to track engagement, understand audience behaviors, and refine content strategies to enhance performance.
• Develop and execute strategies for audience expansion, leveraging both organic and paid growth tactics.
• Actively manage community interactions, cultivating a loyal and engaged fan base through prompt responses and interactive content.
   

Collaboration and Leadership:

• Work closely with the broader content team, the client, and other departments to ensure a cohesive brand voice and cross-promotion of content.
• Provide guidance on content creation techniques and social media best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest social media trends and technological advancements in digital marketing and Baseball to keep our content innovative and appealing.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in social media management, ideally within sports or a closely related field.
• In-depth knowledge of Baseball, including familiarity with key players, tournaments, and historical data.
• Strong photo and video editing skills and knowledge of platforms such as the Adobe Suite, Capcut etc. 
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data insights and pivot strategies effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead projects and small teams.
